Puma in Chile During the lockdown, we are staying in our houses, but animals do come out! The virus has spread between humans, and the transmission between pets is not playing a huge role. On the streets fewer people in cities go out, so animals have less to be scared of. Unlike the humpback whale in the St-Lawrence, it was probably lost. Many wild animals come out from forests, near the cities to make the streets a part of their habitats. Two specific animals are coyotes and pumas. These two animals are medium-sized natural predators. Pumas live in mountain areas and coyotes live in forests or on the prairies. Firstly, I will talk about pumas in the alleys in Chile. When citizens discovered that pumas started to appear on road, the government tried to capture and release them without hurting them. They were released into the wild in their natural habitat.
